Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be the upcoming installment to be released this year

Activision seems to stick with a familiar naming convention for its next major FPS. According to information reported by Insider Gaming, the next Call of Duty game will indeed be titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

It's important to note that while initially speculated to be a premium expansion to Modern Warfare II, it will now be a standalone game. It will feature a single-player campaign, the usual multiplayer mode, a Zombies mode, and maps from Warzone 2.0.

The release date is reportedly set for November 10, 2023, with Season 1 expected to start on December 5. The first beta is anticipated to be available on October 6, exclusively on PlayStation, while other platforms will gain access on October 12.
