Sony reportedly canceled a sci-fi shooter game planned for PS5 and PC

An exclusive PlayStation title (also intended for PC) has apparently been shelved by Sony. This information has been circulating for several days, and Insider Gaming has recently provided additional details.

This mysterious game was a sci-fi shooter developed by Final Strike Games. Production began around 2020, and the game was supposed to launch in 2025. Founded in 2016 and known for Rocket Arena, the independent studio had to let go of 40% of its workforce following the project's cancellation. To this day, we do not know the motivations behind Sony's decision to cancel the game.

Currently, Final Strike Games has stated that they are working on a AAA PvP shooter for consoles and PC. It is unclear whether this is the same game that was canceled by Sony or a different project altogether.
