The reviews for the new Zelda game have just come out, and the scores obtained by Nintendo's title are absolutely amazing! On Metacritic, Tears of the Kingdom has an average score of 96% based on a total of 80 different reviews.
On the aggregator OpenCritic, it even reaches 97%, making it the highest-rated game on the site. It surpasses Super Mario Odyssey (96%) and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (95.9%). Several major media outlets such as IGN, The Guardian, GameSpot, Nintendo Life, and Telegraph have given it a perfect score.
Beyond the rave reviews, the YouTube channel Digital Foundry has delivered its technical opinion on Tears of the Kingdom. The assessment is quite satisfying as the game performs admirably on almost all levels. However, the "day one" patch remains essential to enjoy a smoother experience. There are still some framerate issues in certain areas, but overall, it looks incredibly convincing.
