A Metroid Prime 4 ad says the game is out now

Update June 20, 2025 at 1 p.m.

A Nintendo spokesperson issued a brief statement to the VGC site. He said that the date on the ad is “incorrect" and that Metroid Prime 4 is not available "now ".

"We can confirm that the ‘Out Now’ message on this advert is incorrect. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition are not yet available, and are scheduled for release in 2025."

Original article

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond remains scheduled for this year, and has made quite a big appearance on the London metro, more precisely at the Oxford Circus station.

A huge poster advertising the game is on a wall, and it claims that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is "out now". However, the Japanese company hasn't give a date for it up until now.

Of course, the FPS is not available for purchase at all at the time of writing. It's probably a printing error, or the poster was published far too early. It's hard to imagine Nintendo shadowdropping Metroid Prime 4 today, June 20, 2025.
