The next Xboxes will be backward compatible
, by Thibaut
This week, Microsoft announced a new partnership with AMD for the next Xbox consoles. The American manufacturer aims to deliver "better visual quality, immersive gaming, and AI-driven experiences" through this collaboration.
But that won't be all, as these future consoles will leverage a very important feature for all users. Indeed, the next Xboxes (yes, in plural!), whether home or handheld, will emphasize backward compatibility.
Xbox stated on social media that its consoles will offer "next-level performance, cutting-edge graphics, breakthrough gameplay, and unmatched compatibility." Sarah Bond, the brand's president, also stated that she wants to keep "compatibility with your existing Xbox game library."
