No Man's Sky gets a free upgrade on Switch 2 and a new patch

Hello Games never lets the No Man's Sky community down! The British studio has just announced a new update with a bonus upgrade for its game on Switch 2, which will be available from June 5.

This free upgrade adds multiplayer mode, which was gone on Switch. There are 4K textures, improved framerate, a sharper interface, touch controls and definition adapted to both TV and portable modes. DLSS and DRS technologies are supported. Cross-play and cross-save are also included. No Man's Sky will run in 1440p at 30 FPS in TV mode, and in 1080p at 40 FPS in portable mode.

The Switch 2 version will include the Beacon update, available now on all platforms. The settlement system has been completely redesigned. Each inhabitant now has his or her own unique abilities and attributes. New building types are included. Players can become mayor of several colonies at the same time. There are new public services, additional threats and the ability to manage the economy and improve buildings.

Hello Games has showcased all these in a new video.
