According to the Taiwan Economic Daily, NVIDIA could launch the DGX Spark, a mini-supercomputer geared towards consumer AI, as early as July. Several manufacturers, including Gigabyte and MSI, are planning customized models.
The DGX Spark is based on the GB10 Grace Blackwell chip, combining CPU and GPU via the NVLink-C2C interconnect. This architecture is said to offer up to 1,000 TOPS of computing power for inference or fine-tuning tasks, with bandwidth claimed to be 5 times higher than PCIe Gen 5.
Presented at Computex, MSI's EdgeXpert MS-C931 features 128 GB LPDDR5X, an HDMI port and Connect-X for connectivity.
For its part, Gigabyte has unveiled the AI TOP ATOM, also featuring LPDDR5X from Micron and claiming up to 70 billion parameters. By linking two systems, Gigabyte claims to be able to reach 405 billion parameters.
The DGX Spark is priced at around $4,000, making it ideal for professional use.
