Here's over an hour of gameplay for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on Switch 2

Let's face it, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be one of Switch 2's main attractions. Both versions came out in a very sorry state on Switch, and will use the capabilities of Nintendo's new console to fix some of their shortcomings.

We already knew that the game would be able to run at 60 FPS on Switch 2. The Video Games Chronicle site has captured over an hour of gameplay to illustrate these optimizations. The lengthy sequence was recorded in 4K and reveals more detailed textures and more Pokémon on screen. The game is still a long way off from being a looker, but the improvements are there for all to see.

This upgrade is offered free of charge to owners of these versions.
