More than 50 Activision classics are getting added to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has announced the addition of over 50 retro Activision games to Xbox Game Pass via a collaboration with Antstream Arcade.

This new section, dubbed Retro Classics with Game Pass, will be available on console, PC and cloud, with features such as progress saving.

Among the first games to be included are Grand Prix, Commando, Mech Warrior 2: 31st Century Combat and Pitfall. Gamers will be able to access the Retro Classics library via the Xbox app.

Microsoft points out that this initiative aims to preserve videogame heritage while making these titles playable on modern devices. Challenges, never-before-seen achievements and the ability to save will also enable new players to better discover these classics.

Xbox and Antstream plan to add more than 100 Activision and Blizzard games over time. More titles will be announced shortly, with monthly additions.

The service is available to all Game Pass subscribers, including those in Japan (Standard, PC and Ultimate).
