Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox, has confirmed that Borderlands 4 has a development budget more than double that of Borderlands 3, estimated at around $140 million, which means that the new entry could be near $300 million.
As a reminder, it is scheduled for release on September 12, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and a little later on Nintendo Switch 2.
