AMD announces the Radeon AI PRO W9700 with 32 GB memory and Navi 48 GPU
, by Quentin
For this Computex 2025, AMD has presented the Radeon AI PRO W9700, the first professional graphics card based on the RDNA4 architecture. It also inaugurates a new brand, the Radeon AI PRO, which targets uses linked to artificial intelligence.
The W9700 features 32 GB of memory, double that of the RX 9070 XT. It uses a blower design with a single fan and is designed for multi-GPU server deployments. AMD showed a configuration integrating four W9700 boards in a single system.
The board features the Navi 48 GPU, with 4,096 cores, i.e. fewer than the previous W7800 (4,480 cores). It adopts a unique 32 GB memory configuration, probably on a 256-bit bus. Power consumption is estimated at 300 W (TBP), with two 8-pin connectors. It has four DisplayPort outputs, presumably in version 2.1.
AMD claims performance of 96 TFLOPS in FP16 and 1531 TOPS for AI loads, with a claimed 2x gain on certain LLM tasks compared with the W7800.
Release is scheduled for July, with customized models offered by AIB partners. Pricing has yet to be revealed.
