ASUS announces the RTX 5080 ProArt with a wood finish and integrated SSD support

ASUS has unveiled a new RTX 5080 graphics card in its ProArt range, aimed at content creators and professionals. It features a wood finish on the front, in keeping with other ASUS products such as the PA602 case.

There are two versions planned: one classic, the other incorporating an M.2 SSD slot. ASUS has yet to specify how this integration works, or whether it impacts on bandwidth, an important point given the PCIe 5.0 x16 interface used.

The board features 16 GB GDDR7 memory, vapor chamber cooling, Axial-tech fans, a phase-change thermal pad and an integrated USB-C port, handy for portable monitors. It occupies 2.5 slots and adopts a sober design with discreet lighting.

No release date or price has yet been announced.
