Sparkle shows off its Studio-G Ultra 850 Thunderbolt 5 eGPU again

Sparkle is once again showing off its Thunderbolt 5 eGPU case, the Studio-G Ultra 850. Unveiled at CES 2025, this model is equipped with an 850 W internal power supply compliant with the ATX 3.1 standard, and is available in two versions, black or white.

The Studio-G Ultra 850 does not integrate a graphics card: users must add their own. Sparkle emphasizes compatibility with NVIDIA Founders Edition cards, in particular the RTX 4080. The case features a PCIe 4.0 x4 slot, and connectivity includes USB-C, USB-A and Ethernet ports, using the 80 Gbps bandwidth (120 Gbps bidirectional) offered by Thunderbolt 5.

The model also features a power supply behind the GPU, potentially replaceable, as well as 96W charging for the host computer via USB-C. No release date or price has yet been announced.
