MSI presents the Claw 8 with a Ryzen Z2 Extreme and 24 GB of RAM at Computex 2025
, by Quentin
MSI has officially announced its first Ryzen-powered portable gaming console. It's called Claw A8 BZ2EM, and features the Ryzen Z2 series, preceding ASUS and its ROG Ally.
Unlike Intel Lunar Lake models equipped with 32 GB of RAM, this AMD version makes do with 24 GB of non-expandable LPDDR5X-8000 memory. The graphics chip is a Radeon 890M with 16 RDNA3.5 processing units.
The display is an 8-inch Full HD, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Connectivity includes an M.2 2280 slot for storage and two Thunderbolt 4-compatible USB4 ports.
Autonomy is based on an 80 Wh battery, identical to that of the Intel versions, but the AMD model is limited to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, compared with Wi-Fi 7 for the other model.
MSI has not yet announced a price or release date for this model.
