Take-Two claims not to expect another GTA VI delay
, by Thibaut
Although he had long claimed that Grand Theft Auto VI would be released in the fall of 2025, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, ended up being wrong.
So IGN asked him about what changed for Rockstar Games to finally move its game to May 26, 2026.
"As we get closer to completion of a title that’s seeking perfection, the needs or lack thereof, for continued polish become clear. In this case there was an opportunity with a small amount of incremental time, we thought, to make sure Rockstar Games achieves its creative vision with no limitations. And I supported of course that approach."
Zelnick also stated that a second postponement seems unlikely. "I think historically, when we've set a specific date, we've generally managed to meet it," the CEO added.
