Sephiroth's appearance in Final Fantasy VII Remake 3 may have been revealed

The next major collaboration for Magic: The Gathering will be with the Final Fantasy license. To this end, Square Enix and its artists have come up with some brand-new visuals that will appear on the famous playing cards.

Sephiroth, a key figure in the seventh opus, will be featured on two separate cards. One is called “Legendary Soldier” and the other “One-Winged Angel”. The latter is particularly interesting, as it represents “Safer Sephiroth”, the final form of the antagonist in the original game. Here, his appearance is slightly different from that of the 1997 title.

Tetsuya Nomura, the game's creative director, has left a certain amount of mystery.

"There is also a reason that the design for Safer Sephiroth is different from the original game, but I unfortunately can't share more about that."

It's safe to assume that this new aspect will be included in the third and final instalment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy.
