Control 2 has a lower budget than Alan Wake 2

When it was released in October 2023, Alan Wake 2 was the most expensive game in Remedy's history. But since AAA games are becoming more and more budget-demanding to create, we could assume that the Finnish firm's future studios would cost even more.
But as Remedy CEO Tero Virtala revealed to Game File's Stephen Totilo, the budget for Control 2 is actually a little lower than for Alan Wake 2. Indeed, the title will cost in the region of €50 million, shared between the studio and Annapurna.
Virtala believes that this 50 million euro budget is enough "to create excellent games". He also points out that if Control 2 sells two million units, it will already be profitable. So climbing to 4 or 5 million copies sold will make investors "very happy".
