At Rockstar, only a few believed that GTA VI would come out in autumn 2025

Almost all the news of the week have been overshadowed by the announcement of the Grand Theft Auto VI delay. Rockstar Games's next title will finally be released on May 26, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series.

Jason Schreier, a journalist at Bloomberg, had a little to say on the subject. He revealed on social networks that almost no one within the starry studio believed that GTA VI could come out at the end of the year.

"Nobody I’ve talked to at Rockstar has believed Fall 2025 was a real window for a very long time now. Too much work, not enough time, and what appears to be a real desire from management to avoid brutal crunch. GTA VI slipping to 2026 has seemed inevitable for months if not longer."
