Layers of Fear: the full power of Unreal Engine 5 at the service of horror explained in video
, by Thibaut
In June, Bloober Team will release a new version of its survival horror game, Layers of Fear. Originally released in 2016, the game will benefit from several narrative and aesthetic changes. Indeed, the Polish studio has opted for the Unreal Engine 5 engine this time to offer an even more terrifying atmosphere.
In a new video, the developers have dissected the many advantages of Epic Games' engine. Layers of Fear will use various tools such as Lumen, the global lighting and dynamic reflections system. Ray tracing will also be present, as well as the Niagara visual effects system. Nvidia's DLSS and Intel's XESS will also be used to achieve impeccable visual quality without impacting performance too heavily.
This new generation Layers of Fear will be released in June.
