Baldur's Gate 3 director calls DLC boring to explain the game isn't getting one

Last week, Swen Vincke gave an interview to GameSpot. During the interview, the director of Baldur's Gate 3 was asked about a variety of topics, including the lack of DLC for his now-legendary RPG.
As usual, the Belgian director and designer was frank in his explanations.
"It's boring. Really, the honest answer is that we're trying to be in the DLC business, we've talked about it for Baldur's Gate 3, but there hasn't been a real desire to do it."
"I mean, a happy player, a happy company, but you also have to have a happy studio to get a happy player, and what we're doing today is making our developers a lot happier."
"That's what we should have done, right? We've got a great game that's a huge success, so we should be doing DLC all over the place and the money will pile up."
So we said we were going to do DLC, and when it came time to think about it, we clearly asked ourselves what we were going to be able to do. Thinking about it isn't a bad thing. Sometimes you go down the wrong road, then you think “oh, screw it” and change course to do something else."
