Intel plans to cut more than 20% of its workforce

According to Bloomberg, Intel is preparing to announce a layoff plan affecting more than 20% of its workforce. The aim is to reduce bureaucracy, simplify management and refocus the company's culture on engineering.
The company has already cut 15,000 jobs by 2024, bringing its workforce to around 108,900. A 20% reduction would represent around 22,000 additional cuts.
Intel is due to publish its first-quarter financial results this Friday, after the market close. The announcement of the social plan could take place at that time.
