Elden Ring: The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has been in development since April 2022

Announced last February, the next downloadable content for the incredible Elden Ring is eagerly awaited. FromSoftware is taking its time to offer its players an extremely ambitious DLC.

To support this ambition, it is possible to turn to information published by a developer on LinkedIn. On the social network, Kenneth Chan explains that Shadow of the Erdtree (or The Shadow of the World-Tree) has been in development since April 2022. This seems to indicate that the Japanese studio will have spent over a year on a simple DLC. Suffice it to say that Souls-like enthusiasts will probably get their money's worth!
