FromSoftware says it doesn't want to focus solely on multiplayer games
, by Thibaut
Between Elden Ring Nightreign and The Duskbloods, FromSoftware is currently making quite a shift in the direction of online games. However, the Japanese company has no intention of forgetting single-player experiences.
In an interview with Nintendo, Hidetaka Miyazaki emphasized that his teams are not only interested in creating multiplayer titles.
"As previously mentioned, this is an online multiplayer title at its core, but this doesn’t mean that we as a company have decided to shift to a more multiplayer-focused direction with titles going forward."
"The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Elden Ring was also announced, and we still intend to actively develop single player focused games such as this that embrace our more traditional style."
Expected in 2026, The Duskbloods is a Switch 2 exclusive with a PvPvE focus.
