The next Battlefield will feature a battle royale mode
, by Thibaut
The latest playtests for Battlefield 6 keep shedding some light on the game. Today, an unofficial playable mode is the talk of the town.
Dataminers who were able to delve into the title's files thanks to the Battlefield Labs program have unearthed some data relating to a battle royale mode said to have been developed by studio Ripple Effect.
The mode in question appears to include all the usual trappings found in a traditional battle royale. Single-player, duo, trio and team matches are all on the agenda. This would also be the case for an armor gauge, a game zone that shrinks over time, and more or less rare loot.
Finally, this battle royale portion could even be free-to-play.
