Ubisoft is planning to release two more Assassin's Creed games before the next main entry

The success of Assassin's Creed Shadows](https://news.instant-gaming.com/en/articles/11551-assassin-s-creed-shadows-counts-over-3-million-players-in-just-one-week) seems to be clearing the horizon for the future of the franchise. These are good news, since there are several projects are in development.

We already know that Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe will be the next ga,e in the main saga, now made of open-world RPGs. This one will be darker than its predecessors and set in Central Europe during the 16th century.

However, insider Tom Henderson reveals that two other games will be released before Hexe. According to him, these are the multiplayer title Assassin's Creed Invictus and the remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Both will see the light of day between Shadows and Hexe, the latter which may not be released until 2027.
