The Division 2, Heartland, and Resurgence are giving us updates
, by Thibaut
The Division franchise is doing well, and Ubisoft intends to support it diligently over the next few years. Fans will have three new games to look forward to. Starting with The Division Heartland, the franchise's free-to-play game.
It will offer PvEvP gameplay in a rural Midwestern town called Silver Creek, which has been left in ruins and becomes the epicenter of fighting between different factions. Red Storm Entertainment's developers have highlighted the classes, gameplay, playstyles, and all the mechanics to master to emerge victorious. A closed beta will take place later this year. Sign-ups can be made here.
The mobile game The Division Resurgence was also mentioned, and the next major testing phase will take place this summer in several countries. This installment has an open world and a campaign that can be played solo or cooperatively. The launch will take place before the end of March 2024.
Finally, The Division 2 also had announcements regarding its fifth year roadmap. Season 1 "Broken Wings" will begin in June, with a rogue-lite mode called Descent on the agenda. The second season "Puppeteers" will offer a new incursion. The third "Vanguard" will focus on Aaron Keener in New York. Finally, the fourth season "Black Diamond" will add a new DLC story with new missions and areas to explore.
