NVIDIA claims to have shipped 3.6 million Blackwell GPUs

NVIDIA has announced that it has shipped 3.6 million Blackwell GPUs this year to the four leading cloud service providers in the United States. This represents almost three times the sales of the Hopper generation over the same period.

Jensen Huang, the company's CEO, believes that AI-related computing is at a turning point and that demand for hardware will grow strongly. NVIDIA forecasts that investment in data centers will exceed $1 trillion by 2027, a fourfold increase on current levels. The company hopes to capitalize on this growth and achieve unprecedented revenue levels.

Despite performance issues and shipping delays, Blackwell architecture appears to be widely adopted.
