Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 won't feature the career mode from the fourth entry

When it first released back in 2002, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 featured a quite comprehensive career mode. But as it turns out, the remastered version due for release this summer will not feature this same mode.

Kotaku claims that it has been replaced by levels containing a list of challenges to be completed in two minutes. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 already went for a similar system. The open structure of the fourth game, which let players wander freely through the stages and choose their own challenges, will not be here.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 comes out on July 11 for all platforms.
