Ryozo Tsujimoto has been working on the Monster Hunter franchise since the very first game, released back in 2004. He has worked as producer since 2007 and the release of Monster Hunter Freedom 2. Tsujimoto is also Senior Producer on Monster Hunter Wilds.
In a statement, Capcom announced that Yoichi Egawa, the company's executive director, will step down from his position on April 1. He will also relinquish his duties as Chief Product Officer. Ryozo Tsujimoto will take over this role, overseeing the Japanese company's entire development division.
The current producer has been with Capcom since 1996, and the Monster Hunter saga owes much of its success in Japan and the West to him.
