Avowed's game director would like to keep working on the license

Even though Avowed takes place in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, it can still be considered a new franchise, so we're currently wondering about the future of this new series of games.

Director Carrie Patel suggested in an interview with Bloomberg that the saga could continue, or at least that's what she would like after all Obsidian's efforts creating this game over more than six years.

"Now that we've built this wonderful world, and also built this team strength and muscle memory around the content and gameplay in this world, I'd love to see us do more with it."

It remains to be seen whether this will be DLC or a sequel. Obsidian already has its hands full with The Outer Worlds 2, also due for release this year. In any case, Microsoft has the final word on the future of Avowed.
