Niantic Inc. is in talks to sell its gaming division to Saudi Arabia

The studio behind the mobile game Pokémon GO and plenty of other augmented reality titles could soon be sold! It seems Niantic Inc. is looking to shed its gaming division.

Discussions are currently taking place with the Scopely Inc. group, which is backed by Saudi Arabia. The deal could be worth around $3.5 billion, according to a report published by Bloomberg, and could be formalized in the coming weeks. It would include games such as Pokémon GO, Monster Hunter Now, Ingress and Pikmin Bloom.

Of course, while negotiations are well underway, there's no guarantee that they will result in anything.
