A comparison between Days Gone Remastered and the original sparks debate

Last week, Sony announced Days Gone remaster for the PS5. The trailer has since been thoroughly analyzed, and has sparked quite a discussion¡ on social networks.

Indeed, a comparative video between the original game and Days Gone Remastered clearly shows that there are no noticeable differences between the two versions, prompting many Internet users to question the value of this reworked edition.

However, the comparison made in the video can be considered somewhat misleading. Indeed, the remaster is compared to the PC version with an RTX 4080 graphics card. You'd be better off using the PS4 version to see the changes. If Days Gone Remastered is not coming to PC, it's undoubtedly because PC gamers can already benefit from most of the improvements that will be introduced on PC, all provided they have a competent machine.

On consoles, for those who have only had access to the PS4 version, the enhancements and other improvements will surely be noticeable. It's not for nothing that content additions will only be offered as DLC on PC, and not as a remastered version.

It's fair to say, then, that visually speaking, Days Gone Remastered for the PS5 will bring similar graphics performance to that of the game on PC.
