Relic Entertainment outlines its new strategy centered around three key aspects

Back in March 2024, SEGA announced the sale of Relic Entertainment, the studio behind Company of Heroes. The studio regained its independence following its purchase by a British holding company called Emona Capital LLP.
Relic Entertainment now has tu ensure its own survival, and already laid off part of its staff last April. The Canadian company will now be adopting a new strategy focusing on three key aspects.
For starters, the studio intends to support its existing games, such as Company of Heroes 3, which is getting new DLC and updates. Secondly, while going after the development of ambitious strategy games, the studio will "actively pursue the development and publishing of smaller-scope, in-house games."
Last but not least, Relic will also bring back plenty of older titles from its catalog, including ports, remasters or "brand-new franchise experiences that capture the spirit of the originals while appealing to a new generation of players."
However, according to Relic Entertainment CEO Justin Dowdeswell, this strategy won't give birth to any new licenses
