Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a critical success
, by Thibaut
Here's the big release of the week, and it clearly hasn't let the press down! The verdict is in: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is already a must-have for 2025.
Warhorse Studios' latest title has scored a Metacritic average of 87% on PC out of 45 reviews, 88% on PS5 out of 40 reviews and 87% on Xbox Series out of seven reviews. The [OpenCritic] site (https://opencritic.com/game/17486/kingdom-come-deliverance-ii) records an average of 89% with 75 reviews.
This sequel seems to reenact the Middle Ages with great accuracy, it has a great length and really interesting combat. Add to this a thrilling story, an open world that's a joy to explore and good sense of progression and you have a bona-fide hit.
On the downside, the difficulty isn't always well balanced, there are some bugs, inventory management is far from intuitive and the facial animations are rather stiff.
