Microsoft is looking to buy TikTok

On January 19, TikTok was banned from the United States for several hours, and it affected several mobile games by ByteDance too.

Since then, President Donald Trump has given a 75-day reprieve to the social network, which is still looking for a solution to keep operating in the country. This could involve selling out the company's US assets.

This week, Trump confirmed that Microsoft is in talks with ByteDance to acquire TikTok. Let's not forget that the Chinese giant is estimated to be worth over $100 billion due to its rudely efficient and highly wanted propietary algorithm.

Back in 2020, Microsoft was already a candidate for taking over Tiktok, alongside other major players such as Oracle and Walmart.
