A photo of a prototype of the RTX 5090 with 24,576 CUDA cores and 800 W has been leaked

A photo of an alleged protoype of the GeForce RTX 5090 has been leaked on the Chiphell forums. It's a graphic cards with 224,576 CUDA cores, 32 GB of GDDR7 memory at 32 GB/s and a 800 W TDP. The card is said to use two 12V-2x6 power connectors.

According to the source, the GPU has a 96x16x16 configuration, so it comes with 13% mores than the RTX 5090 releasing this month. The prototype is also said to consume a whooping 225 W more than the RTX 5090. As of now, the card has no functional drivers, though the leaker has requested access to the RTX 5090 press drivers for testing purposes.

This GPU is said to have been manufactured in July 2024, and we don't know if NVIDIA plans to market it. It's possible that this model has been replaced by the RTX 5090 altogether. This leak adds fuel to the fires about a possible RTX 5090 Ti, but there's no official announcement yet to support this.
