The Guillemot family plans to create a new company to maintain control over Ubisoft

It seems a lot will change at Ubisoft this 2025, though it remains to be seen if it will be for the better. What is certain is that the Guillemot family wants to keep control over the publisher if it ends up being privatized.
Bloomberg reports that they could create a new company based on Ubisoft's assets that would allow the Guillemot family to remain at the helm, all while letting Tencent gain greater control over the multinational's assets.
Management is currently doing an evaluation to decide which assets could be transferred to this as yet unnamed company. For the time being, this is just one of the many options being considered to help Ubisoft out of this very difficult period. We'll see what ends up happening.
