Nintendo hasn't credited the original devs of Donkey Kong Country Returns

This isn't the first time NIntendo has "forgotten" to mention the original creators of the game in a remaster. This was already the case with the launch of Metroid Prime Remastered on Switch ban in February 2023.

Now it's the turn of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. The devs at Retro Studio, responsible for the original Wii title, weren't mentioned. Only the Forever Entertainment teams are credited, as they Polish studio was the one that did the Switch version.

Retro has to make do with quite the vague statement pointing out that the game is "based on the work of the original development staff".
