The director of Final Fantasy VII would like to see a new series or film adaptation of the game

One thing is clear, video game adaptations into films or series are in vogue lately. And it just so happens that Yoshinori Kitase wouldn't mind producing a a new film based onFinal Fantasy VII.

The producer of the the remake trilogy and director of the oirignal game said the following in an interview with Danny Peña.

"We don’t have anything officially planned and so this is just strictly my personal sort of wish, but yeah, I’ve heard about various Hollywood directors and actors playing Final Fantasy VII, and many creators also respect the title."

"Personally I’d love to see something that comes out of these creators, in terms of like a cinematic or some kind of visual piece."
