ASUS unveils the world's first Thunderbolt 5 eGPU at CES 2025

ASUS has unvelied the XG Mobile 2025, a translucent black case designed to boost a laptop performance, at CES 2025.
This eGPU adds the power of an NVIDIA RTX 5090 mobile GPU with a power supply of up to 140 W. It also supports two monitors, features a USB hub with an SD card reader and a 5 Gbps Ethernet port.
The XG Mobile 2025 is the first Thunderbolt 5 eGPU on the market, allowing it to offer a bidirectional bandwith of 80 Gbps for fast, high-performance connectivity.
This top-of-the-line model with an RTX 5090 will be available by the end of the first quarter of 2025 for $2199.99, while a version with an RTX 5070 Ti will be offered at $1199.99.
