NVIDIA will launch the RTX 5090D in China on January 30

After releasing the RTX 4090D for the Chinese market, NVIDIA continues this strategy with the RTX 5090D, a card designed to comply with the US export restrictions on high-performance GPUs. That said, the RTX 5090D retains the same main specs as the standard model, with 21,760 CUDA cores and 32 GB of GDDR7 memory.
However, the performance of the Tensor Cores has been lmited, AI TOPS capabilities have been reduced from 3,352 to 2,375, which corresponds to 70% of the AI performance of the main model. This is intended to circumvent the restrictions, all while allowing access to the GB202 GPU on the Chinese market. In-game performance shouldn't be affected by this.
The RTX 5090D will be available in China from January 30, at a price of 16,499 RMB, or around €2,160.
