The studio behind the classic PlayStation games on PS5 would like to bring PS3 emulation

Since the arrival of the PlayStation Plus Premium tier, Sony has been bringing classic games to its subscribers from the PS One, PS2 and PSP catalogs. Unfortunately, PS3 titles can only be played via the cloud.

Porting of these classic games is mainly done by Implicit Conversions. This same studio recently updated the roadmap for its Syrup Engine, which is used for the ports to PS4 and PS5.

A new note states that one of these development teams' dreams is to do a PS3 emulator, all with the aim to make the console's games run natively on Sony's modern machines.

Of course, this doesn't mean that this emulator will end up being real. It's just a dream as of now.
