Both Kojima's future games, OD and Physint, have been delayed by recent strikes.

In a post on his social networks, Hideo Kojima has ended the year with news about the three titles in the works by his teams.

Let's start with Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which has been playable in-house since last summer. This year saw the recording of the music and the Japanese voice-overs. Development is still going on at a good pace.

The same can't be said for OD, the horror game being done in partnership with Microsoft, as shooting and actor scanning both were interrupted in the second half of 2024 because of the SAG-AFTRA strike led by some key industry figures.

What's more, casting for Physint (the spy game in development with PlayStation) was also interrupted by the same strike, with work expected to resume next year.
