PlayStation has no intention of abandoning the GAAS market

After cancelling The Last of Us Online and the resounding failure of Concord, you would think Sony may have chosen to turn away from online games. But that's clearly not the case, if we are to believe the recent words of co-CEO Hermen Huslt.
In an interview with Famitsu, the man in question spoke of the changes currently going on in the video game industry, which are forcing PlayStation to "make changes to our business in order to consolidate a more sustainable operating base".
Hulst also made it clear that his teams "will continue to focus on the development of service games, as well as single-player games with exciting stories that our players demand".
To explain this choice to continue in the direction of GAAS, the co-CEO cites the success of Helldivers 2.
"We're learning a lot as we develop our ability to make high-quality service games within PlayStation."
"Helldivers 2 attracted a large number of players thanks to the continuous deployment of content, with results that confirm the potential of connected titles of this kind."
