Nintendo will offer a more powerful dock and driftless Joy-Cons with the Switch 2
, by Thibaut
For the time being, Nintendo is playing hard to get with its next console. We'll just have to make do with rumors and other information to quench the thirst to know more.
For example, a Reddit user has claimed that he had access to the definitive version of the console to be released next year. It's called Nintendo Switch 2 and features a number of improvements.
We start with a more powerful dock than that of the current Switch that will boost definition when playing on a TV. Also, the Joy-Cons are attached to the console using a magnetic system. Nintendo is also said to have eliminated the driff that (too frequently) claims the lives of plenty of the current Joy-Cons.
This has been corrected thanks to the use of a new material that replaces the one that tends to deteriorate and causes the famous drift.
While it's best to take all this with a grain of salt, the respectable website The Verge was "largely convinced" by all this information and backed the Reddit user's claims.
