Is a new portable console being developed by PlayStation ?
, by Thibaut
This is a rumor that has been growing for several days... Indeed, some more or less reliable sources are starting to mention a hypothetical PS Vita 2 that would be in development at Sony. This is a relatively strange rumor, considering that the Japanese manufacturer's second portable console suffered a crushing commercial failure. The first PlayStation Vita only sold about 16 million units worldwide. This is far from the 80 million units registered by the PSP.
Therefore, insider and journalist Jeff Grubb wanted to calm things down by stating that it is useless to have very high expectations regarding the announcement of a Vita 2. However, he explains that Sony could consider a portable console based solely on cloud gaming. Story to follow.
