FromSoftware employees in favor of Sony takeover
, by Thibaut
On November 19, news spread that Sony was in the process of buying out Kadokawa. A few days later, FromSoftware's parent company has confirmed the rumour and negotiations between the two Japanese companies are continuing.
According to the Japanese website Bunshun, most of the employees of the studio responsible for Elden Ring would welcome the news. Weary of the current management, the employees are said to be "delighted at the prospect of an acquisition by Sony ”. Indeed, the teams seem disappointed with the measures taken by current CEO Takeshi Natsuno following a cyber-attack earlier this year.
A long-standing FromSoftware employee who has chosen to remain anonymous has said the following:
"People in my professional circle are delighted at the prospect of a Sony acquisition."
"Many employees are unhappy with the Natsuno administration, which didn't even bother to hold a press conference after personal information was leaked during the cyberattack. They expect Sony to get rid of the president first if the company is taken over."
