Journalist Jason Schreier has posted a new scoop for Bloomberg regarding Grand Theft Auto VI and the impact the game already has made in the industry.
According to his sources, many publishers are waiting to find out whether the game will be released in autumn 2025 before setting a date for its own games, all in order to avoid launching it too close to GTA VI.
Development of this sixth entry would have takn off after releasing Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018. That said, Rockstar Games has missed several deadlines already. Nevertheless, a delay is out of the cards and the game is still expected to launch before 2025 ends.
As for the game's content, it will feature a prominent multiplayer aspect that will last and generate revenue over the years. Also, Rockstar has reportedly asked the writers to be less offensive to trasgender people and other minorities.
Last but not least, a number of Rockstar executives have reportedly been fired off, all with the aim of improving working conditions and avoid crunch in the home stretch of development. Back in 2022, all the leaks about GTA VI forced employees to return to the offices to work.
