Steam reaches another record number of concurrent players, with over 39 million users logged

Last September, Steam set a new record for the number of people connected to it at the same time. At that time, the peak was of 38.3 million simultaneous users.
And since records are made to be broken, this Sunday, December 8, 2024, Valve's platform reached a new peak of 39,205,447 simultaneous players. This figure is courtesy of SteamDB.
The success of Path of Exile 2 and Marvel Rivals during their first weekend surely has a lot to do with this.
