Street Fighter series and films in the works at Legendary Entertainment

Street Fighter is a very lucrative franchise for Capcom. Since the release of the first installment in 1987, more than 49 million games have been sold worldwide. An impressive success that has led the Japanese studio to produce several adaptations in the form of series and films. For example, the 1994 feature film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme or Street Fighter: The Legend in 2009.

The cinematic journey of the saga is not over, as the production company Legendary Entertainment is said to have acquired the rights to Street Fighter this year. This acquisition will lead to the creation of new series and/or films in the near future.
